APL PROJECT SITE LAURENT / SWAYNE ROAD
The construction of one of the largest industrial buildings ever built in NZ is happening within a new block of land immediately north of the Waikato Expressway on the outskirts of Cambridge.
This project will eventually be the base for the glass manufacturing and aluminium extrusion plant that is the core business of window manufacturer APL.
The buildings once completed will support a staff of approximately 600 people and is a major coup for the District and Cambridge in particular.
Cogswell Surveys have been engaged by BIL to provide project management, engineering and surveying services for the civil construction works associated with this project.
Under the guidance of Director Pete McLachlan and senior surveyor Aaron Cogswell, the Cogswell Surveys team have provided the detailed survey and project management skills to complete the initial earthworks project, construction support and supervision of the installation of the required
Infrastructure.
Support for ongoing engineering design of infrastructure has also been provided by the engineering team.
Current progress sees the first stage of project running close to target completion date and once the overall development is completed this will be a world class manufacturing facility that Cogswell Surveys has been involved with.
